Terri Simpson
Board Chairman

Terri is an experienced leader with extensive experience in governance, strategic planning, and organizational leadership. As Chairman of the Board, she provides oversight and guidance to ensure the organization fulfills its mission while maintaining strong financial health and ethical standards.

With a career spanning over 35 years, Terri has built a distinguished career in education, bringing deep expertise in teaching, leadership, and organizational development across the private school sector, developing a reputation for sound judgment, collaborative leadership and growth potential.  

After sponsoring 2 young girls in 2016, Terri traveled to Rwanda to see Acts4 in action. She was  moved and impressed by the work she saw in Kigali. She returned home and told her husband they would always sponsor children. She has returned to Rwanda every summer because she values the relationships with the children. Her original 2 girls are now in college and she is able to continue with her support of them. She soon became a board member and then became chairman when the former chairman needed to retire.

In the role of Chairman, Terri works closely with the Director of Development and fellow board members to set strategic priorities, strengthen governance practices, and support effective decision-making. Her leadership emphasizes accountability, transparency, and sustainable success.

Terri holds multiple degrees in education from Louisiana State University and University of Arkansas. She is passionate about community involvement, growth of the ministry and sound practices for the board.

Outside of professional responsibilities, Terri  enjoys pickleball, mah jongg, hiking, reading, knitting and volunteering in her community.  She is an experienced potter, reflecting a well-rounded commitment to leadership and community.
