Claire Nuwayo


Claire Nuwayo is 19 years old and is currently enrolled in Secondary 4 (sophomore in high school). She lives with her mother and her two sisters. Claire and her younger sister, Clarissa, joined our Acts4Rwanda family in 2015. She doesn’t know much about her father, because he passed away when they were little. Claire and her family live in Kanombe, Kigali. Claire dreams of becoming an I.T. Specialist so she can create her own webpage to help her community. She loves to dance Amaraba, a traditional Rwandan dance. Her favorite subject is Graphic Designing.

Clarissa Nuyubahwe


Clarissa Nuyubahwe is 18 years old and is currently enrolled in Secondary 4 (sophomore in high school). She lives with her mother and her two older sisters. She and her older sister, Claire, joined our Acts4Rwanda family in 2015. She doesn’t know much about her father, because he passed away when she was very young. Clarissa and her family live in Kanombe, Kigali. She dreams of becoming a doctor one day in order to help the sick. She loves to dance the Amaraba, a traditional Rwandan dance. Her favorite subject is Biology.

Rachael Keza


Rachael Keza is 9 years old and is in Primary 3. She lives with her father, mother and brother. Her father makes stoves and her mother is employed as an artisan, making jewelry, bags and baskets in an attempt to support their family. Rachel has big dreams of becoming a doctor one day. She loves studying in school and prays for the opportunity to continue so she can achieve her dream and help others.

Yvette Usanase Mutoni


Yvette Usanase Mutoni is 18years old and is currently enrolled in Secondary 3 (freshman in high school). She has two brothers, one older and one younger, making her the middle child. She loves studying Geography while in school and taking dance classes on the weekends. Her favorite dance is the Rwandan traditional dance called Amaraba. She loves spending time with friends and family. Yvette and her family live in Nyabisindu, Kigali. Her mother is a fruit vendor in the local market and does not make enough money to fully provide for her family. Her father lives separately from their family and they do not see him much. Despite facing many obstacles, Yvette’s hopes remain high and she has a dream of becoming a doctor.

Cynthia Umutoni Uwase


Cynthia Umutoni Uwase is 15 years old and is currently enrolled in Secondary 1 (7th grade). She lives with her mother and her siblings. Her father abandoned them while she was little and she can’t recall him ever being around. Her mother does laundry in order to provide for their family. Cynthia enjoys dancing and playing with her friends after school. She is a member of the Acts4Rwanda young girls’ dancing group. Her favorite subject in school is mathematics and she dreams of becoming a doctor.

Jackson Izibyose


Jackson Izibyose is 12 years old and is currently enrolled in Primary 4. He lives with his mother, stepfather and siblings in Kigali, Nyabisindu. Jackson is the third born of the five children. Grace and Jivence, two of his siblings, are also Acts4Achievers. Jackson’s mother is a graduate of the Acts4 Women’s training program and she now weaves baskets and makes jewelry to earn an income. His stepdad is a porter on buildings that are under construction. Jackson enjoys watching movies and playing soccer. His favorite subject in school is English and he dreams of becoming a pilot.

Jacque Amahirwe


Jacque Amahirwe is 14 years old and is in Secondary 1 (7th grade). He lives with his mother and four siblings.  He is the second youngest in the group.  His father and mother separated when he was younger, so his oldest brother and mother work to care for their family.  His brother works as a security guard and his mother does any work she can find.  Despite facing challenges, Jacque has big dreams of becoming a doctor one day.  He is praying for the opportunity to continue his school work so that he can learn and grow.

Kevin Ntaganda


Kevin Ntaganda is 8 years old and is in Primary 4. He and his sister live with his mother who works in the food industry to earn a small income to support her children.  Kevin’s father abandoned their family when Kevin was younger.  It is difficult for Kevin’s mother to pay the school fees required for Kevin to keep attending school.  Despite facing many obstacles, Kevin has big dreams of becoming an engineer one day. He and his mother would be immensely blessed by the gift of sponsorship.

Esther Uwamahoro


Esther Uwamahoro is 6 years old and is in Primary 1.  She lives with her mother and father.  Her father is currently unemployed due to difficulty finding work and her mother is a maid. Because of the economic challenges that her family faces, Esther is not consistently attending school.  Despite many obstacles and hardships, Esther has a teachable spirit and is very outgoing.  She has high hopes of becoming a doctor one day. Getting an opportunity to consistently be in school will be a very great blessing to sweet Esther and her family.

Ange Uwase


Ange Uwase is 7 years old and is in Primary 2.  She lives with her father and mother.  Her mother makes a small income to support their family by selling onions at the local market. Unfortunately, her father was in an accident and suffered brain damage, so he is unable to work.  Despite facing challenges, Ange is a sweet girl with a great personality.  She loves skipping rope and eating fruit.  She dreams of becoming a doctor one day.

Jean Bosco Niyonshuti


Jean Bosco Niyonshuti is 14 years old.  He is lives with his mother and two siblings. He is the youngest in his family. Unfortunately his father abandoned their family when he was young. His mother now struggles to find work as a maid to support their family.  Because of the economic challenges at home, Jean Bosco is not attending school consistently.  Despite facing challenges, he has dreams of becoming a teacher.  He loves playing soccer in his free time. 

Promise Munerezo


Promise is 14 years old and is an intelligent young man.  He has faced many challenges in his young life, including being abandoned by both of his parents.  He lives with his paternal uncle who is not employed.  Promise was forced to drop out of school last year due to his circumstances. He now acts as a housekeeper to earn a meager income. He prays for an opportunity to go back to school to study with his peers.

Daniella Ishema Barbara


Daniella Ishema Barbara is 8 years old and is in Primary 2. She lives with her parents and one sibling. Her father is an evangelist of the Gospel and her mother is a housewife. It is a great challenge for her family to pay for school fees.  Despite challenges, Daniella has high hopes and dreams of becoming a doctor one day.  She loves to skip rope and her favorite food is rice and meat.

Cansilder Bihoyiki


Cansilder Bihoyiki is 16 years old and is in Secondary 4 (10th grade).  She is a very determined young lady who has had a difficult past.  She lives with a guardian because her step-mother drove her out of their home.  Her father did not protect her in the situation, so she had to leave for safety reasons.  She is unable to consistently attend school due to financial struggles, but is praying for the opportunity to continue in school so she can achieve her goal of becoming a doctor one day.

Cynthia Gasaro


Cynthia Gasaro is 7 years old and is currently enrolled in Kindergarten. Unfortunately, Cynthia has had a difficult upbringing with an alcoholic father and a mother who left due to physical abuse.  Thankfully Cynthia was taken in and now lives with her grandmother.  Her grandmother sells tomatoes and onions along the road in order to make a small income to support them. Despite facing challenges, Cynthia has high hopes and dreams of one day becoming a doctor.  Her favorite hobby is skipping rope. 

Yvan


Yvan is 18 years old and and is in Secondary 5 (11th grade). He lives with his mother, Violet, and his two older siblings in Kigali. Unfortunately, Yvan does not know his father because he abandoned the family when Yvan was very young. His mother used to sell fruit and vegetables in the local market, but she was involved in a tragic accident in early 2017 which left her severely injured and unable to work. Despite facing many difficulties, Yvan dreams of becoming a Civil Engineer.  His favorite subject is Physics and he enjoys playing basketball and soccer. 

Emmy Mugisha Mutabazi


Emmy Mugisha Mutabazi is 15 years old and is in Secondary 1 (7th grade).  He lives with his mother and three siblings.  Unfortunately, his father left their family six years ago and moved to another country.  Emmy’s mother works hard as a seamstress to make a small living for their family.  Despite facing challenges, Emmy is an energetic young man with a teachable spirit.  He dreams of becoming a soldier so he can support and defend his country.

Talia Ihirwe


Talia Ihirwe is 5 years old and is in Kindergarten. She lives with her mother who is currently unemployed. Unfortunately, her father left her mother for another woman. Her mother now struggles to pay for Talia to go to school.  Despite challenges, Talia has big dreams of becoming the president when she grows up.  Both Talia and her mother have been praying for a sponsor so Talia can attend school without difficulty. 

Darius Mbonigaba


Darius Mbonigaba is 11years old and is in Primary 4.  He lives with his father, mother and siblings.  His father is employed as a security guard and his mother sells charcoal in their community to earn a small income to support their family.  Even with employment and hard work, Darius’ parents struggle to pay for his school fees. Despite these challenges, Darius has a dream of becoming a solider one day so he can support and protect his country. He and his family are praying for a sponsor so he can regularly attend school and learn.

Nadedge Niyonshuti


Nadedge is 13 years old and is currently enrolled in Primary 6.  She lives with her mother and sibling.  Her mother has no permanent work but finds odd jobs here and there in an attempt to support her children.  Despite facing many challenges, Nadedge is a strong young lady who dreams of becoming a doctor one day in order to help others.

Sandrine Uwineza


Sandrine is 7 years old and is in Primary 1. She lives with her parents and three siblings. Her parents are both currently unemployed and her father was recently released from prison.  Her mother performs manual labor (digging holes) when she is able to find jobs in order to earn a small income in attempt to support their family.  Despite many challenges, Sandrine has big dreams of becoming a President.  It is their prayer that she can find a sponsor and continue with her education as she grows. 

Jamila Agasaro


Jamila is 12 years old and is in Primary 4.  She lives with her mother and four siblings and does not know her father.  Her mother struggles to earn a meager income by doing laundry for others.  Despite facing obstacles at a young age, Jamila is determined and dreams of becoming a doctor so she can take of helpless sick people.  She is eager to continue her education through sponsorship.

Vanessa Uwase


Vanessa is 11 years old and is in Primary 4. She lives with her mother and two siblings.  Unfortunately, her father abandoned their family for another woman.  Her mother tries to find work doing odd jobs to support her family.  Despite facing challenges at home, Vanessa dreams of going to school regularly to study and learn.

Prisca Ishimwe Mutesi


Prisca Ishimwe Mutesi is 7 years old and is in Primary 2. She lives with her father and stepmother.  Her father works as a security guard to support their family.  Prisca has a dream of becoming a minister so she can help serve those in and around her home.  She and her family are praying for a sponsor so she can continue growing and learning in school. 

Joselyne Mahoro


Joselyne Mahoro is 17 years old and in Secondary 4 (10th grade). She lives with her mother and two siblings.  Unfortunately, her father abandoned their family for another woman.  An uncle was helping pay for school fees, but he has recently had to stop his assistance.  Despite challenges, Joselyne is a joyous young lady who is focused and determined.  She wants to finish her education because she has a dream of becoming a surgeon. She is trusting the Lord and praying for an opportunity to continue her school work.

Clever Manzi Mugabo


Clever Manzi Mugabo is 6 years old and is in Kindergarten. His parents are separated and he lives with his mother.  His mother has a difficult time finding work but tries to earn a small income by doing house work when she is able.  Because of the economic challenges at home, Clever isn’t able to consistently attend school.  Despite facing many challenges, he has big dreams of becoming a doctor.  He wants to be able to treat and help others.  His favorite sport is tennis.

Emma Maliza Milan


Emma Maliza Milan is 5 years old and is in Primary 1. She lives with her mother who gave birth to Emma at a young age.  Emma does not know her father who left before she was born. Emma’s mother works as a maid to make a small income to support her daughter.  Despite facing challenges, Emma has big dreams of becoming a doctor.  Her favorite hobby is swimming.  She and her mother are praying for a sponsor so that Emma can continue studying and growing in school. 

Jean Claude Mugisha


Jean Claude Mugisha is 12 years old and is in Secondary 1 (7th grade).  He lives with his mother and two siblings.  His parents separated when he was little and his mother has had a difficult time making enough income to support her family.  She works hard as a maid.  Despite facing challenges, Jean Claude has big dreams of becoming a pilot one day.  He is an energetic boy with a teachable spirit and is praying for the opportunity to continue his school work.
