Patrick Samuel Byiringiro


Patrick is 10 years old and is in the 3rd grade. He enjoys playing soccer with friends and learning English in school. He lives with his mother, Divine. Her husband abandoned her before Patrick’s birth. She now works as a tailor to support herself and Patrick. Patrick hopes to one day become an artist. Birthday: 2/8/2008

Ivan Mugabo


Ivan is 15 years old. He attends primary school and is in the 6th grade. He lives with his mother and sister. His mother works as a security guard to support their family. His father abandoned them when Ivan was young. Ivan loves playing soccer with his friends and he also enjoys dancing. Birthday: 6/25/2003

Elyse Abimana


Elyse is 14 years old. He attends Nyakbanda Primary School and is in the 4th grade. His favorite hobby is playing soccer with his friends. He lives in Nyakabanda, Kigali with his mother and two younger sisters. His father abandoned their family when he was very young. Despite facing hardships, Elyse has big dreams of becoming a doctor one day so that he can help others. Birthday: 11/25/2004

Benitha Teta Ishimwe


Benitha is 11 years old. She attends primary school and is in the 4th grade. She lives in Nyabisindu, Kigali with her mother and father. Her father is a carpenter and her mother stays at home. Benitha enjoys studying Mathematics and dreams of becoming a doctor one day. Birthday: 4/7/2007

Samson Kalisa


Samson is 11 years old. He attends primary school and is in the 4th grade. He lives in Nyabisindu with his mother and 2 siblings. Samson’s mother cooks to earn a small income. Unfortunately, his father abandoned their family and lives in another province now. Samson’s favorite subject to learn about and study is Science and he enjoys playing soccer with his friends at school. He is a compassionate little boy with a humble heart.

Benjamin Mugisha


Benjamin is 10 years old. He lives in a slum near the Acts4Rwanda Transformation Center. He attends primary school and is in the 3rd grade. Benjamin lives with his parents and younger sibling. His mother is a potter and his father is a construction worker. Benjamin enjoys playing soccer and dancing with friends. He is very helpful and has the sweetest smile. He dreams of one day being able to serve in the Rwanda National Police.

Baraka Masengesho Gasore


Baraka is 6 years old and lives with his parents and 3 siblings in Nyabisindu, Kigali. His father is a construction worker and his mother does cleaning jobs to earn a small income for their large family. Unfortunately, his father is an alcoholic and rarely comes home. Baraka has never had the opportunity to go to school because his mother cannot afford the tuition. Despite hardships, Baraka still has big dreams and wants to be able to study at school and serve in the military one day. Although he is introverted, he loves to listen to stories and play with his friends in the neighborhood.

Ange Immaculee Consolatrice


Ange is 11 years old. She attends Remera Catholic School and is in the 6th grade. She lives in Nyabisindu, Kigali with her parents and 5 older siblings. Her mother works as a tailor to earn income for their large family. Ange enjoys playing soccer and her favorite color is pink. Her favorite subject to study is Mathematics and she dreams of becoming a doctor one day. Birthday: 12/23/2007

Jackson Manirumva


Jackson is a shy and sweet 12 year old. He attends primary school and is in the 3rd grade. He lives in Kibagabaga, Kimironko with his mother and his 4 siblings. He is the second oldest of the 5 children. His mother does various jobs like working on farms and hand-washing laundry in order to support their family. Unfortunately, Jackson does not have a relationship with his father who abandoned them a few years ago. Jackson enjoys playing soccer and preaching in his Sunday school. His favorite subject is Mathematics and he dreams of becoming a political leader in Rwanda. Birthday: 5/4/2006

Chance Ishimwe


Chance attends secondary school and is in the 7th grade. She lives in Gahengeri, Rwamagana with her parents and 5 siblings. She is the second oldest child. Her father is a farmer and her mother sells food at the local market to support their family.

Danny Bizimana


Danny is a 15-year-old boy who has overcome some incredible obstacles and hardships in his life. He calls a mud walled, tin roofed hut his “home” in the slums of Kigali. Danny lives with his mother, Renatha, and his younger brother Safari (who is also an Acts4Achiever). Their father abandoned them when they were very young, leaving Renatha as their only caretaker. Renatha was part of our Acts4Women’s inaugural class, and she currently makes baskets and jewelry to sustain her family. Danny enjoys playing soccer and karate with his friends. His favorite subject is science and he dreams to become a pilot.

Angelique Kayitesi


Angelique is 17 years old. She lives with her mother, Freeda, and father, Desire. Angelique and her family reside in a slum of Kigali. Her mother is a tailor and her father is a driver. Angelique is the first born of 4 children and is blessed to have her younger brother, Evalde, currently enrolled in our sponsorship program. Angelique loves listening to music, singing, and spending quality time with her friends and family. Her favorite subject to study is Physics and she desires to become an electrical engineer.

Fountain Murenzi


Fountain is 14 years old. He attends primary school and is in the 6th grade. He is the oldest of three children. He lives in Nyagatovu, Kimironko with his mother and siblings. His parents separated a few years ago. His mother works hard as a tailor to earn an income for their family. His father is a construction worker, but Fountain does not get to see him often. Fountain’s favorite subject in school is Science, He is very excited to attend school, so he can achieve his dreams of becoming a researcher one day. Birthday: 1/1/2004

Danny Habinshuti


Danny is 15 years old. He attends secondary school and is in the 8th grade. He lives in Nyabisindu, Kigali with his parents and his younger brother. He is the fourth born of 5 children. His mother stays at home and his father used to work as a chef until he became ill 2 years ago with diabetes and hypertension. Danny is thankful for the opportunity to go to school because he has hopes and dreams of becoming a lawyer someday. Birthday: 6/30/2003

Divine Uwase


Divine is 17 years old. She is in the 10th grade and is majoring in Mathematics, Economics and Geography. She lives in Kigabiro in Rwamagana with her parents who are peasant farmers. Divine is grateful for school and hopes to become a banker.

Ismael Kwizera


Ismael is 8 years old. He attends primary school and is in the 2nd grade. He lives in a slum area near the Acts4Rwanda Transformation Center with his mom, dad and 3 siblings. He is the second oldest child in his family. His parents try to find work to support their family by cleaning houses. His family is Muslim but he notes that he has attended church a few times with his mother. Ismael loves to dance and play soccer with his friends. He enjoys studying and learning Mathematics. He is incredibly smart and a great leader. He has big dreams of becoming a detective one day.

Jemimah Teta Uwiragiye


Jemimah is a 10 year old girl currently enrolled in 6th grade at G.S Remera Catholic School. She lives in Nyabisindu, a slum of Kigali, with both her parents. She is the second oldest child in her family. Jemimah’s mother isn’t currently employed, but her father is a day labor when he is able to find construction work. Jemimah is very smart and surprisingly confident. Jemimah’s favorite subject in school is science and she hopes to become a doctor. She enjoys reading and drawing pictures.

Kevin Iradukunda


Kevin is 6 years old. He is the second born of 4 children. He lives in Nyabisindu with his parents and siblings. His parents work on farms to earn a small income. Kevin has never had the opportunity to attend school because his parents cannot afford the tuition and school requirements. Kevin is joyful, bubbly and makes everyone around him laugh. Despite his speech disorder, he is confident and very smart. He enjoys playing soccer with his friends. He has hopes and dreams of serving in the military one day.

Prince Dushime


Prince is 10 years old. He attends primary school and is in 2nd grade. He lives in Nyabisindu with his mother and little sister, Keilla. His father separated from his mother years ago and lives in another town. Prince’s mother roasts and sells corn to support the family. Prince enjoys playing soccer and assisting his mother with cooking. His favorite subject is Kinyarwanda and his dream is to one day serve in the Rwanda National Police force.

Elimine Byizamana


Elimine is 12 years old. She attends primary school and is in the 5th grade. She loves to play outdoor games with her friends. She lives in Nyakabanda, Kigali with her mother, older brother and twin sister. Their family’s income comes from their mother who sells fish on the street. She does not know much about her father who abandoned their family when she was young. Although their family has faced hardships, Elimine has not allowed difficulties to discourage her big dreams. She hopes to become a pilot and travel around the world. Birthday: 3/26/2006

Elia Mugisha


Elia is 9 years old. He attends primary school and is in the 3rd grade. He lives with his parents and two younger siblings in Nyagatovu, Kigali. His mother sells vegetables on the street and his father is a construction worker. Elia’s favorite subject in school is Kinyarwanda and he loves playing soccer with his friends. He dreams of becoming a doctor someday.
